Business Development Manager – Insurance / IT – £100K – £120K + Bonus – Remote / UK
Overview:
An excellent opportunity has arisen with our client, a global brand with leading reputation in the insurance market. We are seeking a talented BDM to closely engage with the insurance unit of the UK & Ireland major markets and can maximise revenue for the organisation.
You will understand the value that outsourcing brings to organisations and the science of consultative IT services and strong commercial awareness. You have an innovative approach to deal structures and maintain a high credibility with clients.
Role & Responsibilities:
Responsible for significant new business sales and revenue in the general insurance sector across UK and Ireland.
Creating sales through selling a broad range of IT services to key clients/prospects.
To assist in creating, agree and implement the sales strategy, approach and objectives for the target market
To identify key opportunities and develop compelling propositions and business cases and to proactively take them to the named account and to the wider general insurance market.
To ensure routine use of bid review / approval processes, sales reporting, and pipeline management tools.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Excellent communication skills
Good understanding of the UK Insurance sector
Experience of working in virtual teams spread over multiple locations and countries
Broad experience of the IT industry, markets, trends, technologies and their implications
Demonstrable experience in generating sales and revenue
Consultancy/Solution Sales approach
A strong negotiator and able communicator across a varied audience
An innovative style and the ability to craft solutions
Strong customer management skills
Good team player and able to win the respect of colleagues
Self-starter and ambitious
Highly flexible in working hours and willingness to be driven by the needs of bid timescales
Package:
£100K – £120K (Dependant on experience)
Excellent sales commission (starting at approx. £25K)
Role Location: London, UK (travel to client sites across UK as required – Travel costs reimbursed)
