Operations Director – Insurance Startup

We’re currently partnered with an innovative and fast-growing insurance business who are looking for an Operations Director to join the team and be responsible for the day-to-day running of the business and assist with their scaling strategy as they approach a new round of funding.

The company have spent years analysing the insurance market and doing extensive customer research and their approach is simple – focus on the customer, replicate what is good in the market (and improve on this), and omit what is bad and what irritates customers. Their plans are simple, fast and fair, reasonably priced and backed up by an exceptional customer service division.

As Operations Director, you will also be responsible for putting the foundations in place to scale and ensuring the company are well-served in terms of resources. You will also largely be responsible for several strategic aspects and will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the business and managing cross-functional teams.

Key skills:
Considerable experience in Operations Management and Leadership, ideally within Insurance or Fintech startups

Team leadership, management and hiring

Process and product-oriented

Strong strategic mindset and able to deal with senior stakeholders

Relentless customer focus
