You will play a pivotal role when it comes to the implementation of the global claims vision into the UK Market, and its application to your team. In addition, you will lead and thrive in our performance driven culture by measuring your team’s outcomes against established metrics. Your responsibilities will include ownership of established topics such as claims governance, counter-fraud, vendor and subrogation management, as well as oversight of large losses (assisted by our technical excellence team) and our customer-driven segmentation and service delivery model.
Finally – we are very keen on developing our data & analytics capabilities – any skills in that area are an additional asset.
In this role you will report into the Head of EMEA Claims (solid line) and the Head of UK & Ireland (dotted geographic line). Your role will have 19 direct and indirect reports located across the different locations. You will be part of the EMEA Claims Leadership Team, and the UK Branch and retail leadership team(s).

About You
- University degree or equivalent professional experience. Legal degree and/or insurance qualifications beneficial
- People leadership and management skills with the ability to demonstrate high level of credibility and performance in previous roles.
- EMEA commercial insurance claims expertise and market knowledge (10+ years minimum) with a strategic and solution focused mind set, and ability to solve sophisticated problems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills
- Passion for customer service and customer centric claim handling
- Demonstrated ability to champion teamwork and collaboration
- Ability and confidence to successfully interact at Senior Management level and experience in dealing with multiple partners with diverging needs
- Consistent track record in establishing high quality relationships with internal collaborators, customers and brokers
- Strong organizational skills, flexible and ability to work reliably under tight targets
- Continuous improvement mind set, with willingness to challenge processes and systems to the benefit of claims teams, customers and stakeholders
- Expertise in operational management/development, governance, Counter Fraud, Vendor Management, Subrogation programs an asset
- Affinity to new technologies and data & analytics a big plus
- Forward-thinking, intellectually curious approach to everything you do; continually learning from a variety of sources
- Fluent in English; proficient in additional languages is a plus
