UK Head of Insurance Distribution, DIR, London

The UK Head of Insurance Distribution has overall responsibility for the country’s insurance distribution. This is a leadership role, managing the insurance sales, marketing efforts, and significantly driving sustainable revenue and asset growth in the country.

The person will have responsibility for UK investment products within the insurance distribution channels. The primary role is to drive sales and build new relationships resulting in positive inflows across the UK and the individual will also be a key leader and contributor to our EMEA partnership program, which has a globalisation element to it.

The role will work closely with the product and investment organisations, assisting in market insight, providing input to product development in the form of challenges for clients, trends, ideas, potential innovations and emerging solutions and ultimately designing and implementing the business plan and sales strategy for the business unit with a UK-focused lens.

The person will have a hand in the further integration of technology as a means of client attraction and retention and be a key voice for the “client” within the firm.

Your skills and experience
The UK Head of Insurance Distribution will ideally come from the asset management industry and will have already achieved success in their career as an executive who understands distribution, client service and the notion of acting as a fiduciary. The successful candidate must come with strong understanding of technology and how to leverage its use to drive best-practices and positive client engagement.

We would love you to have:

  • A proven track record of leading a distribution organisation in addition to turning around and accelerating a highly functional sales force – ideally in asset management in EMEA, but particularly in the UK.
  • Good standing in the asset management industry with deep recognition and connections within appropriate client segments.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to create a compelling vision for the future of global asset management.
  • The skills to seamlessly manage a large and diverse team, client solutions and distribution frameworks.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work well cross-functionally in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Proven leadership in sales, CRM, business development, marketing, pitch design and relationship build-outs (internal and external).
  • A sense of urgency and ownership to develop and achieve expected goals for the organisation.
  • Belief in the evolution of the asset management business and long-term value of the services that Credit Suisse Asset Management offers to their clients.
  • Outstanding communication skills to negotiate and instil trust, successfully driving shared relationship management across the platform (internal and external). Ability to manage work well under pressure
