Compliance Manager (MA) – Global Insurance firm

Global Insurance firm are seeking an additional Compliance Manager within the Group Compliance team. This role can be hybrid or remote working also offered. The Compliance team’s focus is to support the business in all areas of monitoring and assurance, advisory, guidance and training, strengthening the policy framework and providing regulatory input to the M&A activity including due diligence and streamlining, aligning policies and procedures.

Duties and responsibilities will include

  • Assisting on M&A activity identifying and co-ordinating the management of regulatory, property, insurance, health & safety, compliance, risk and privacy issues
  • Coordinate risk & compliance due diligence enquiries pre acquisition
  • Assist in the validation of any risk issues identified and present a risk profile to the M&A team
  • Post-acquisition, engage with the integration team to ensure that all risk & compliance actions are identified. Record and co-ordinate the delivery of those actions within the Group Risk & Compliance team.
  • Assisting on pre and post-acquisition portfolios, ensuring that the risk profile of each M&A target is identified, reported upon, managed and mitigated
  • Provide guidance and advice, building and maintain strong links with M&A team and other key stakeholders across the global business
  • Undertake pre-acquisition due diligence assessments to identify any potential “deal breakers”
  • Engage with identified acquisition targets and Group Insurance Brokers to ensure that the current programme is identified, analysed and mapped to the Group programme
  • Prepare clear and concise reports for the Head of Compliance, Chief Risk Officer and M&A Team

 

The ideal candidate will have legal and/or compliance experience within the Insurance sector. Experience of due diligence, M&A, bids and acquisition activity would be useful.
This is a fast moving role so the ability to juggle projects and interact with senior stakeholders is essential.
