Key Responsibilities:
- Insightful and rigorous analysis. Produce impactful and timely research on insurance credit trends, including issuer-specific credit opinions, to drive high media presence and local market interest
- Ratings accuracy . Undertake in-depth fundamental credit analysis on a portfolio of EMEA insurers and present your conclusions to rating committees. Montitor developments within the portfolio including through regular dialogue with rated entities, to ensure ratings remain correctly positioned and developments in credit profiles are clearly articulated
- Effective communication with a large variety of financial stakeholders. Build and maintain high quality relationships with fixed-income investors, media, regulators as well as senior management of some of the world’s largest insurers as well as through presenting at high profile physical and digital events
- Help enhance Moody’s insurance franchise across EMEA . Strenghten Moody’s position as the thought-leading Agency of Choice in EMEA, building on the excellent reputation of our existing insurance presence in continental Europe
- Substantial credit/risk assessment experience including strong financial analysis skills
- In-depth understanding of European Insurers and their regulatory environment and the key issues affecting these markets/the main players as well as key industry drivers
- Excellent communication skills – able to communicate clearly and succinctly, both verbally and in writing with some public speaking experience
- Strong quantitative aptitude and proven analytical skills
- Strong academic background at least equivalent to MSc in relevant areas
- CIMA /ACCA/CFA/IFoA professional qualification would be highly beneficial
- Highly organised and efficient, with ability to multi-task and able to meet tight deadlines
- Fluency in English and another European language
- Willingness to travel across the EMEA region
