The Role: Account Manager – Construction

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Account Manager to join a successful team focussed within the Marsh Speciality Construction team based in our London offices.

This role would suit someone with previous Commercial Insurance experience, whether that be within a commercial insurance, general insurance, claims or underwriting field looking for a unique new opportunity within a niche market.

After an initial learning period, the role will offer a Hybrid working opportunity with an expectation to only be in the office 2/3 days a week.

We will rely on you to:

• Manage the team’s workflow to ensure all deadlines are met
• Assists Broker in basic aspects of policy management, proposal preparation and presentation creation to better serve clients.
• Performs basic clerical functions, including but not limited to, photocopying, scanning, word processing, and e-filing to assist Broker.
• Prepares and issues invoices to clients and resolves billing problems to ensure accurate records are delivered to clients and maintained internally.
• Provides assistance, under direct supervision, to Brokers regarding coverage questions and program adjustments to maintain policies and ensure policies are up-to-date.
• Provides assistance, under direct supervision, to Broker regarding coverage questions and program adjustments.
• Upload policies on PPL (electronic placing system).

What you need to have:

• Previous Commercial Insurance experience
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidence to advise and negotiate.
• The ability to build, manage and develop relationships.
